Gmc Envoy Xuv Retractable Roof

Hi cam i have removed the sliding rear roof from my gmc envoy xuv.

It had a retractable roof over what should ve been its cargo area which let drivers carry tall objects normally restricted by an suv s ceiling. My question is how can i remove the lid or disengage the lid from the motor so i can slide it back to the closed position. I have disconnected the battery removed the rear roof motor and the electronic. But while the avalanche at least had cool styling the envoy xuv looked like a normal envoy wearing a backpack.

Enough that it tells you to close the roof but won t let you open the roof far enough to get to the screws to remove the lid.
