Getting blue ink out of carpet.
An optional step is to clean the carpet area with a carpet shampoo.
To remove ink from carpet wet a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stain.
When the ink is gone rinse your carpet with a warm water vinegar.
A wet dry vacuum can make this process much quicker and much more effective.
You can combine rubbing alcohol and a bowl of lukewarm water to remove permanent ink stain on the carpet.
Vacuum first holding the nozzle above the stain.
Fill a spray bottle with equal parts of water and distilled white vinegar.
Repeat until the stain is removed.
Repeat the procedure several times to remove ink from carpet and leave the blotted mark alone for half an hour.
Dab the stained area and then rinse with warm soapy water.
Salt works impressively on ink stains on carpet.
Moisten the ink stain with either rubbing alcohol or non oily hairspray.
Put some alcohol on the corner of a dry cloth and blot out the inky mark.
Again turn the cloth frequently to keep a clean surface in contact with the carpet.
First thing first dampen the ink stain with rubbing alcohol.
Keep blotting for 30 minutes so the alcohol has time to dissolve the ink.
The salt will absorb the ink.
Once the area is stain free dab the area with a towel dipped in lukewarm water.
Once you begin to lightly blot the ink stain from the carpet you should start to see the color transfer onto the towel.
Fill the iron with water plug it in set it on low medium not too hot you don t want to burn the carpet and place it on top of the towel.
Fold a towel in half and cover the stain.
Pour a generous amount of stain remover over the stain.
You may not be able to get all of the ink out of the carpet just by blotting and massaging.
For a carpet that smells as good as it looks add a couple of drops of concentrated lavender water or lemon.
Repeat the process until the stain is transferred to the towel.
Allow the salt to sit overnight then vacuum the area.
Touching the fiber might further grind in the ink then apply a spot remover or carpet cleaner with foaming action to lift up.
If the ink is already dry wet it thoroughly before.
Then lightly blot the stain using a white cloth.
If the ink is still wet immediately cover it with salt.
Once it has had a chance to soak in vacuum up the alcohol and ink with the wet dry vacuum.
